1 - This might never have happened if you'd just left the damn tea alone. (Comment this)

3 - Not that George III handled things very well on his end, Philip. Too much arsenic in his hair, methinks;-)

Marty -- terminal, yes; tunnel, yes; vision, nope.

4 - At this point I'm all set (even with my Scots-Irish bloodline) to go to the Queen and ask her to "take us back." Oy (okay, that's the OTHER side of the bloodline). -- Trish (Comment this)

5 - Yes, there must be few things worse than having your liberties restricted and your economy sucked dry by an irrationally-inclined hereditary ruler called George. Damn good thing America managed to throw off *that* yoke.

Trish, I wouldn't advise it - you'd only have to take a Britishness test, and since you can read and write coherently I doubt you'd have much of a chance. (Comment this)

6 - Ah, this is funny. Well, it would be if it weren't so tragically true. 120 days till the election...and let's hope we're not this stupid again.

7 - Trish, the Lady Harwood accent might help if you did.
Philip, I've seen reports that the Scots may be the next to bolt -- any likelihood it could actually happen, or is it just the usual huffing and puffing?
Sam -- amen to that; cue The Who. (Comment this)

8 - I'm not well up on the state of Scottish nationalism, I'm afraid. It's entirely possible that our own unelected leader might haemorrhage some votes to the SNP; but even if Edinburgh made a Unilateral Declaration of Independence I doubt it would be recognised in Westminster. There are plans afoot to buy new weapons of mass destruction and build a lot of nuclear power stations, and we'll have to put them somewhere. (Comment this)

9 - And we all know who is in line to be the next King of Scotland...Sir Sean Connery. As for the Lady Harwood accent...it's coming along, although I do sometimes slip back into Moria the Banshee. Ah well, at least I get to die on stage (I mean on purpose). --Trish (Comment this)
