Peter Straub

Peter Straub’s second horror novel, If You Could See Me Now, has just been reissued by Centipede Press in a beautiful new deluxe limited edition, which includes several superb photos by J K Potter and an Afterword by me.  It’s a favorite of mine among all of Peter’s work.

Very cool! I lost all my Straub (and Tessier) collection in the flood…so this will be a great way to replace the novel. Thanks for the update. –Trish

A collector’s item, to be shelved above the water line;-)

WAY above the water line….but no fears there. I will be moving to HIGH Street–and it is. ;-)

    Hi Willem,

Thanks for visiting and for your comment about my writing. Yes, the Cemetery Dance 15 piece is an excerpt from the novel Secret Strangers.

I confess I’d never heard of Peter Rosei until I saw your mention of him. And it is a curious coincidence that a “Thomas Tessier” translated the book of conversations between Rosei and Wilhelm Schwarz. I see that the talks occurred at Schwarz’s farm in Quebec. Now, my father’s family is from Quebec, and we still have relatives living there. So it’s not out of the question that the two Thomas Tessiers are actually distant cousins. Thanks for bringing this odd matter to my attention.

    Best,
    Tom
