A Whisper Of Blood

A Whisper of Blood, edited by Ellen Datlow, Fall River Press.

Out now, this volume comprises Ellen’s anthologies A Whisper of Blood and Blood is Not Enough, 35 tales of vampirism, my own “Infidel” among them.  Other contributing authors include Dan Simmons, Gahan Wilson, Harlan Ellison, Fritz Leiber, Chet Williamson, Karl Edward Wagner and Thomas Ligotti.  It’s a Barnes & Noble imprint edition, so you will see them in the B&N shops for Halloween and Christmas, and it’s a great gift for any vampire lovers you know, or yourself.

Van Helsing new edition

The Many Faces of Van Helsing, edited by Jeanne Cavelos, has just been released in a new paperback edition by Ace.  It includes my story “The Infestation at Ralls” as well as new stories by Christopher Golden, Joe Hill, Tanith Lee and Thomas Monteleone, among others.  My effort was an attempt to turn a kind of ’60s Hammer horror film idea into a short story of about 20 pages.  Peter Cushing in the lead, of course.  I had a lot of fun with it.
