Good news from some of the writers I had the pleasure of meeting and working with at the Borderlands Bootcamp in Baltimore this past January.

Michael McBride has sold his novel GOD'S END to Delirium Books (www.deliriumbooks.com), scheduled for publication early next year. He has also sold two short stories to Dark Wisdom and three novels to Elder Signs Press (www.eldersignspress.com), including CHRONICLES OF THE APOCALYPSE: SPECIES, which is due out later this year. Mike writes on an epic, global scale that is astonishing.

Dan Waters has sold a short story, "Gangbangin," which will appear in Dark Karnival #9, a comic book short story script, "I Bleed For You," to Graphika Press, another story, "Passing Swiftly," to Graphika Magazine, and his story "The Grouch" is now online at www.nocturnal.com. Dan has a novel that has already drawn serious attention in New York.

Rick Koster is engaged in rewrites of his New Orleans voodoo-horror novel, which has also caught the eyes of a New York publisher. I love the tone of voice in Rick's writing, which can be sad, funny, forlorn or hilarious by turns, and then smacks you in the face with horror.
